Newport Yacht Charter Show 2019

The Newport Charter Yacht Show is a four-day showcase of luxury charter yachts and services for the charter industry. Dedicated to charter professionals, including brokers, agents, captains and owners, the event takes place every June in Newport Shipyard on Rhode Island, New England. The core focus is on the world-class display of luxury charter yachts lined up in the harbour. Available for charter in New England and the surrounding US waters, the superyachts will open their doors to show-goers. This gives brokers the opportunity to tour the yachts and meet the crew, imparting them with the insider knowledge needed to match their clients with the best yacht possible. There is also a display of ancillary goods and services for the industry. This mix of on-land exhibitors offers value for the captains and crews and enhances the experience for the potential charter guest. The types of companies exhibiting range from boat builders and shipyards to private clubs and resorts to lifestyle products such as cars, private aircraft and jewellery. Another mainstay of the show is the lively social events, such as yacht hops and cocktail parties, while each year sees a growing seminar programme. In 2018, a need for speed rotating roundtable session was introduced alongside talks on topical charter issues. There is also a range of competitions that enable crews to showcase their skills, including the popular chefs' contest and cocktail and tablescaping competitions.
