Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2019

November, 30 -1
The 58th edition of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show will welcome superyachts, brokers and captains and crews to the beautiful shores of Antigua in December. As usual, the show will take place for six days across three locations: the Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, and the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina in Falmouth Harbour. Shuttle buses will ensure ease of access for show-goers across all three sites. An industry-only event The industry-only event is a key date on the calendar for yachting professionals. It will bring together close to 90 world-class charter yachts just ahead of the Caribbean cruising season and, opening their doors, the vessels will welcome aboard attendees for exclusive tours, dinners and parties. Equipped with an invaluable insight into the charter fleet, brokers are then better equipped to match their clients with the most suitable superyacht. Show-goers also have the chance to meet with the captains and crews, which also form an integral part of any luxury yacht charter. Social happenings The Antigua event is a favourite among the industry due to its laidback atmosphere and glittering social programme. A combination of cocktail parties and yacht hops keep attendees entertained each night while providing unrivalled networking opportunities. A 'sail day' is also planned to round up proceedings on the final day of the show. Participating yachts will invite brokers on board for a ‘micro charter’ around Antigua, providing them with an even greater understanding of what the yacht can offer charterers on a yachting vacation. Crew competitions Another mainstay of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is its Chefs’ Culinary Contest. This year, the competition will celebrate its 20th anniversary and will once again set superyacht chefs with a themed challenge. Last year, saw chefs wow the judges with a three-course ‘New Year’s Eve Dinner Party’. Interior crews can also join in thanks to a table decorating competition and results are announced in a prize-giving ceremony and champagne reception at Admirals Inn in Nelsons Dockyard.
